Leer created media events and publicity for Lou Nanne’s best selling non-fiction book on the history of the Minnesota North Stars. The events included one of the most successful book signing events that Barnes & Noble Booksellers has had in its downtown Minneapolis store. Louie was interviewed on numerous radio stations, made a tremendous number of television appearances, and drew long lines at bookstores and in arenas. His commitment to donate proceeds to support worthy causes was not lost on the local media. Book sales were number one in this market as the top non-fiction selling hardcover, and Louie's right hand might still be sore after signing all those books.
