For the past five years, Leer Communication & Consultants has designed the curriculum and led the media training efforts for U.S. Army North. We teach high-ranking Department of Defense officers how to work with print, broadcast and on-line media. U.S. Army North soldiers are the first federal forces to respond to man-made or natural disaster.
Our training is hands-on. We use professional broadcast quality audio/ visual equipment to conduct press conferences as well as “live” TV and radio interviews in order to prepare soldiers for the real-thing. Our media training team members are all former award-winning journalists who write, produce and edit broadcast news stories and newspapers to show the interview subjects precisely how their interviews would play out in the press. We also provide real-time feedback so that interviewees can learn from their mistakes and improve instantly.
Few organizations train more realistically and effectively than the Department of Defense. Leer Communications & Consultants applies our DOD training model and teaching techniques to all of our media- training clients, which include doctors, politicans, police officers and CEOS.
